Tile cut for longevity and customization...

Our marble and natural stone tiles are the second product category we mastered as a company. Much goes into creating the best Tile. The equipment used as well as the precision in accuracy for cutting each square inch play a major role in getting the best results.
Our versatility of cutting capacity allows us to handle small residential order requests to the largest commercial projects around the world. Giving you the supply reliability needed to grow your business according to a project-by-project basis or weekly/monthly shipment business models.
Also, we can supply the retail and e-commerce industry that need the same and continuous tile inventory. We have geared our business to adhere and solve each key essential aspect of all our client's business model priorities. With the mindset of always going over and beyond our client's expectations.

Understanding our tile dimensions

Heights & Lengths

Our standard heights for tile orders is 12", 24", 36" and 48". Our standard lengths for tile orders is also 12", 24", 36" and 48".

Order Note: Once you determine each height and length for the marble or natural stones you prefer, outline each height and length for each marble or natural stone you pick so when we receive your order request, we will be able to accurately project the order costs.

Custom Cut-to-size Requests

We understand that most clients prefer the standard tile sizes. However, we also can manufacture smaller and larger sized tile. The minimum tile height and length we can manufacture is 6" X 6".

Commercial Cut-to-size Requests

Another strength of ours is being able to support commercial projects needing larger tile order supply needs. If you need commercial project tile supply, please email us the total quantity needed for each size and stone type you prefer to info@agoramarble.com.

Tile Thicknesses

The standard and most requested tile thicknesses are 3/4" (2cm) or 1.2" (3cm). However, due to popular demand we also cut thiner thicknesses to 1/2" (1.2cm) and 0.6" (1.5cm).

Because our capacity within our cutting facilities is so versatile, we can cut any thickness (with the minimum thickness mentioned below) needed for any marble and natural stone collection we have.

Minimum Tile Thickness

The absolute minimum we can cut our marble and natural stone slabs is 1/2"an inch. Due to tiles potentially breaking or being damaged when sent by ocean freight, we cannot cut any thiner. As the likelihood of the very thin tiles (thiner then 1/2"an inch) being damaged is greatly increased.

Custom Tile Thickness Requests

If you have a custom tile thickness (which is above our minimum of 1/2") please kindly send your custom tile thickness you need with the marble and natural stone type to us at info@agoramarble.com.

Understanding our tile finishing work...

Our marble and natural stone tile finishing works are executed with the highest level of craftsmanship and attention-to-detail. Our finishing work categories are wide group of the most popular finishing requests as well as the unique ways our clients might want to use to give different textures, designs and/or colors for their tile orders. All of which being offered to our clients on an individual basis or a combination/mixture of multiple finishing works together for one tile order. Enabling a dynamic service of finishing work for each one of our client's needs.

Filled

Filling your marble or natural stone is to fill the empty porous areas throughout the stone using one of our high quality resins (non-hazardous chemicals). Filling gives a smooth-like look.

Filling is most commonly used for natural stone like Travertine as it has many empty porous areas throughout the entire stone. However, some client's prefer their marble or natural stone to be filled quite frequently because of the texture it brings.

Natural (not-filled)

The natural (not-filled) look is leaving the marble or natural stone exactly the way Mother Nature provided it to us. Literally doing zero finishing work to the stone and delivering the slabs "as-is".

The natural (not-filled) look is most commonly used for giving authentic look to the application you need to use it for. For example, it is commonly used for exterior walls on restaurants, boutique hotels and residential projects.

Polished

Polished marble or natural stone is one of the most requested finishings we offer our clients. Polishing gives the marble and natural stone slabs a smooth and shiny finish which allows the entire slab to have a completely glossy-like look.

However, we do recommend for the softer marble and natural stone types to not apply the Polished finishing. As the softer marble and natural stones with the polished finishing applied can be more susceptible to scratches and damage.

Honed

Honed finishing is another popular finishing requested by our clients. Honing is similar to a polished look but with more of a smooth, flat and consistent surface which gives off a matte image.

The honed look is less glossy but more natural and soft to the eye as well as when touching the marble and natural stone. Honing is a great way for soft, average and more dense marble and natural stones.
However, we do warn our clients that the softer marble and natural stones (when honed) are more susceptible to scratches and damage.

Leathered

Leathered finishing is a finishing that is trending upwards the last couple of years. It allows the surface to be a bit pebbled which is consistent throughout the entire slab.

Leathered finishing is a great way to to not only give the natural look of the marble and natural stone but also it can hide fingerprints, water spots and smudges.
Leathered is most commonly used for kitchen countertops, bathroom countertops, vanities and outdoor applications.

Sand-blasted

Sand-blasted finishing is commonly used finish for giving an abstract and touch surface. Sand-blasted finishing gives the slab surface more grooves and a granule-like look.
Sand-blasted finishing is most commonly used for outdoor applications. Also, the most common types of marble and natural stones used with sand-blasting are limestone, travertine and basalt.

Tumbled

Tumbled finishing is literally exactly what it sounds like. We combine the same material and tumble that material for a long period of time to give a distressed and weathered look. Tumbling is only available for small slab orders (below 50" X 50").

Tumbled marble and natural stone is a great way to showcase an "older age" look of the natural form of the stone itself. Tumbled marble and natural stone is usually unfilled and has more of a dusty look to it. We recommend to our clients who want the tumbled finish but not the dusty look, for us to apply filling to it (depending on the stone). This gives the tumbled image but without the dusty/powdered look.

Brushed

The brushed finishing also gives a much older look to it similar to what tumbled does (without the dusty/powered image). We brush each section of the slab consistently until the complete "antique" look is what our clients want.

However, there are different levels of the brushed finish look. We have five main levels of brushing (extra-soft, soft, medium, abstract and extreme-abstract). All representing the amount of total time we brush each slab.

Understanding our tile packaging...

Tile Packaging - USA & Canada

All of our marble and natural stone tiles are packaged and heat-treated according to the USDA (United States Department of Agriculture) & APHIS (Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service). With each wood-crate packaged tile having a vendor approved and certified heat-treated stamp.
Please note: We receive updates and notifications that are initiated by USDA & APHIS for import regulations of wood-packaging requirements. If such updates and/or notifications require a change in procedure, all changes are made prior to any orders being delivered.

Tile Packaging - U.K. & Europe

All of our marble and natural stone tile are packaged and heat-treated according to the ISPM NO. 15 regulations as per the International Phytosanitary Measure developed by the International Plant Protection Convention (IPPC). With each wood-crate packaged tile having a vendor approved and certified heat-treated stamp.
Please note: We receive updates and notifications that are initiated by IPPC for import regulations of wood-packaging requirements. If such updates and/or notifications require a change in procedure, all changes are made prior to any orders being delivered.

Understanding our tile delivery options...

Our delivery options allow you to receive your tile orders in four different ways (FOB, CIF, DTD and Air Cargo delivery options). Allowing you to be more involved during the delivery process with FOB or CIF options or you can pick the DTD (door-to-door) ocean freight and DTD Air Cargo delivery options if you prefer to have your tile order delivered to you in the most convenient way possible. Our DTD Air Cargo delivery option allows smaller tile orders (normally less than 2 pallets per order) to be delivered much quicker vs. the normal ocean freight deliveries. However, keep in mind that the DTD Air Cargo costs are significantly higher than ocean freight due to the weight restrictions on 1 pallet sent via air freight being much less than the total weight allowed for 1 20' FCL non-reefer container.

Having the best delivery option services for our clients is very important to our organization. Maintaining high quality tile and efficient delivery services go hand-in-hand together. With the ultimate result of giving our clients confidence in working with one of the best marble and natural stone suppliers in the world.
FOB delivery is when our client's total order billing amount covers all costs up to the point of when the shipment has been fully loaded on the vessel (before the vessel embarks from the Port of Loading).
Once the entire shipment has been fully loaded and confirmed on the vessel, the client is responsible for any/all costs thereafter.
Our logistics department handles all scheduling, coordination and management needed to successfully deliver the entire shipment to the client. While also coordinating with the client during each stage of delivery and thereafter. We also ensure that any/all customs requirements as per the import/export customs requirements are met.

FOB (free-on-board)

FOB Loading Timeline

The normal completion time it takes for orders within 1 - 10 FCL 20' non-reefer containers to be fully loaded on the scheduled vessel(s) is 7-10 total days from the completion date of production for the entire order.
Please Note: Orders that are 10 or more FCL 20' non-reefer containers, may take longer then 7-10 total days.
CIF delivery is when our client's total order billing amount covers all costs up to the point of when the shipment being delivered reaches the client's preferred POD (Port of Discharge).
Once the vessel holding the entire shipment(s) has arrived at the POD the client is responsible for any/all costs thereafter. CIF delivery does not cover costs of any importing actions taken at the POD.
Our logistics department handles all scheduling, coordination and management needed to successfully deliver the entire shipment to the client. While also coordinating with the client during each stage of delivery and thereafter. We also ensure that any/all customs requirements as per the import/export customs requirements are met.

CIF (cost, insurance and freight)

The normal completion time it takes for orders to reach the USA & Canada vary depending on the soonest available vessel scheduled as well as the location of the POD.
Please Note: The expected arrival time of the entire shipment will be confirmed prior to the vessel departure at the POL.

CIF Arrival Timeline

*DTD (door-to-door delivery)

*Available for USA & Canada Clients Only

DTD (door-to-delivery) is when our client's total order billing amount covers all costs up to the point of when the shipment arrives at the delivery address preferred by the client.
Once the entire shipment has been successfully cleared at the POD, our logistics department notifies the client and delivers the entire shipment directly to the client's delivery address. DTD delivery covers the entire project costs of both supply and delivery from A-Z. Giving our client's a complete peace-of-mind without having to take any time for importing orders into the USA or Canada.

While also coordinating with the client during each stage of delivery and thereafter. We also ensure that any/all customs requirements as per the import/export customs requirements are met.

DTD Delivery Timeline

The normal DTD delivery time it takes for the entire shipment to reach the client's preferred delivery address is usually 2-10 total days from the moment of being cleared at the POD (depending on the proximity of the client's delivery address in conjunction with the POD used for the current shipment).

Air Cargo (arriving at the client's terminal)

Air Cargo is when our client's total order billing amount covers all costs up to the point to when the shipment arrives at the client's preferred terminal (airport). This option is normally common for our retail and e-commerce client business models. As the air cargo delivery option is per pallet instead of filling a full container. However, as stated above the costs of sending orders for air cargo are significantly higher than sending orders via ocean freight. As the ocean freight delivery options allow a much higher amount of weight allowed for one order.
Before the shipment has arrived at the designated terminal (clearing airport), our logistics department notifies the client and of the expected arrival date for their order.
Please note: This option does not include Agora to import/clear the order at the designated terminal. These costs and responsibilities of importing/clearing the order at the designated terminal are completed by the client. However, our logistics department handles all scheduling, coordination and management needed to successfully deliver the entire shipment to the client. While also coordinating with the client during each stage of delivery and thereafter. We also ensure that any/all customs requirements as per the import/export customs requirements are met.

Air Cargo Delivery Timeline

The normal air cargo delivery time it takes for the entire shipment to reach the client's preferred designated terminal is usually 2-7 total days from the day the tile order has departed from the designated airport used by Agora. However, there are occasions where customs at the final destination terminal requires additional days to clear the air cargo delivery.

*DTD Air Cargo (door-to-door delivery)
